"This is a great GCI roller coaster at a very fun amusement park. I think the back is the best spot if you want good airtime and a fast pace ride. I believe the front gives you the smoothest ride and if you want the wind in your face effect then this is the place to be. I had a great time riding this a couple times today and I really think it's an underrated woody at an underrated Six Flags park."

"American Thunder is a great ride! It offers a very smooth ride in the front and a more intense ride with some floater air time in the back. The layout is really interesting and offers some really great turns and hills."

"American Thunder was an awesome surprise! I only had to wait about 5 minutes to get on, which was a huge plus. The ride was super smooth for a wooden coaster and packed with fun twists, airtime, and speed. It’s the perfect mix of classic coaster vibes and modern smoothness. Definitely one of my favorite rides in the park—don’t miss it!"

"This awesome wooden coaster has many turns and 16 airtime hills. It keeps it's 50 mph speed throughout and you are on the edge of your seat to see what it will do next. The seats are also wonderfully cushioned, which isn't the case of all rollercoasters. It is only 80 feet tall but it is truly a good ride."
