"What an experience! If you enjoy natural history and caverns, this is the site! $15 a ticket. Plan for about 3 hours to walk entire cavern unless you take the elevator first, down into the cavern. We walked from the beginning and took about 3 hours due to stopping and reading information panels. Best to start before noon. Dogs are not allowed but they do offer indoor kennels for rent. Rangers will inform you beforehand on what to expect and how to keep your experience fun for yourself and others. They offer guided tours and electronic tour guide radios for rent but I think that would take much longer so I would suggest starting earlier if you decide use any of those options. We missed the "bat flight" so definitely ask the employees about that because it sounds like something no one should miss. Huge gift shop. Food at "restaurant" was not very good so snacks for the end would be ideal because you'll get hungry. Food of course is not allowed so definitely bring something for afterwards or eat before."

"The Quick List: ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Scenery: 5/5 ๐Ÿ’Ž Uniqueness: 5/5 ๐Ÿšฝ Facilities: 5/5 ๐ŸŽญ Atmosphere: 3/5 ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Logistics: 2/5 (Ai outline, but completely my opinion and written by me.) The Details: ๐Ÿ”๏ธ Scenery: Amazing views of geological formations and the mountain range. Some cool wildlife outside the caves as well. ๐Ÿ’Ž Uniqueness: Truly a one of a kind park. You get to see stalactites, draperies, and other geological formations, extremely unique place. ๐Ÿšฝ Facilities: Facilities were great, there was a gift shop, lots of rangers at the information desk, nice restrooms, a little restarsunt, paved trails, elevators down/up from cave, and more. ๐ŸŽญ Atmosphere: Quite crowded considering how popular this place is. Especially since I went during the Holidays. Almost no chance of getting tickets without buying beforehand. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Logistics: Confusing ticket system. Even if you buy before hand, you must wait in a long line and exchange for a slip to get in. Make sure to get there early so you make it in on time. There are no exceptions to moving times forward, but if you do get your ticket late, you will be let onto the next group even if you have an earlier time. ๐ŸŒŸ Top Tip: Get tickets ahead of time, arrive around 1 hour early compared to your tour time."

"We did the 2+ hour self guided tour. 2.4 miles walked. If you are physically capable, do the natural entrance instead of the elevator. We visited in February, so no bats. Beautiful cave. A jewel. Enjoy the nature. Photos are hard to take. At the end of the tour, the elevator takes you back up the 700 feet. Super fast. Boring, but great view?!?. Check out the view from the south side of the parking lot. Excellent view of the vast valley floor."

"This place is a must do/see at least once! We took the natural entrance into the caves and elevator up, which I definitely recommend. It was a beautiful experience to see the history and beauty these Caverns have to offer! It's something pictures cannot even begin to show the true wonder of. We absolutely loved this experience and hope to visit again one day!"

"Carlsbad Caverns National Park completely exceeded my expectations. I had seen plenty of pictures beforehand, but they truly donโ€™t do it justice. In person, itโ€™s far more massive and breathtaking than any photo can capture. The Big Room is enormous and filled with incredible formations, stalactites, stalagmites, and towering columns that look almost unreal. The lighting really brings out the textures and details, making the whole space feel like a natural cathedral. Itโ€™s peaceful, cool, and absolutely stunning. If youโ€™re on the fence about visiting, go. Itโ€™s even more beautiful in person."
