2 years ago"Very tranquil place! Saw two coyotes and some birds. I had the place to myself on a Saturday morning. The only people I saw were workers driving from the mine that is accessed by the same road as the national monument. There are no amenities here and phone service is very spotty. A beautiful place to be alone with your thoughts. There are a few dirt roads, but most were marked as closed to vehicles, but they would make good hiking paths."

9 years ago"It was tough finding the road from Nevada back to the National Monument. Remember to exit Nipton towards Searchlight right turn on walking box ranch rd. A dirt road."

8 months ago"Solid place. Not the easiest to get to and not much in the way of signage. And no visitor center. Very peaceful and quite scenic. If you are strapped on time, skip this and spend more time in Mojave National Preserve. Dirt roads weren't too bad. Did this in a transit rental van. No water, restrooms, etc. out here."
