4 months ago"Popular local park with some nice trails with views of the river. Swimming prohibited because the water is dangerous, even though it appears calm. (Please don’t risk it) Great place to enjoy the outdoors or walk your dog. Get out there and enjoy nature!"

6 months ago"This was the first time I visited Castlewood State Park. It was such a beautiful day to go hiking. The fall leaves colors were so beautiful this time of year. The trails are very well defined and easy to hike on. The views at the top of the hill are amazing. I will be visiting here more often."

6 months ago"This wilderness area is beautiful and I'm so thankful to have a state park right in St Louis. There are both paved and unpaved trails, and several parking lots so you can start closer to the trail you wish to take. I painted down along the Meramec River. It was very quiet and serene, with just a few others out hiking, fishing, or waking their dogs along this stretch of trail."

4 months ago"The cliffs walking up to it are very steep and deep so I suggest if you're walking up you know how dangerous it can be an amazing place once you get to the top it's beautiful and breathtaking but is the point of getting to the top so just know that this hike is not just for anybody you have to be able to walk"

There are several well-marked paths to choose from, each offering different views of the fall scenery. It’s a peaceful place to walk, take photos, and enjoy nature. Overall, it’s a great park for a relaxed half-day exploration."
