3 years ago"Great workout. Follow the red flags for the standard hike. (Some spots you have to keep your eyes peeled for the markers.) The green flags take you on a "side quest" to a cabin currently inhabited by a monstrous spider, which is situated across the creek bed from the killer trees. It's a nice detour if like me you enjoy ogling tiny fish and crawdads. If you find yourself suddenly faced with a gate with barbed wire on one side and train tracks just beyond the dirt road on the other side of the gate, and you feel totally lost and too tired to backtrack, swing a right and walk the road that's just past the gate. It'll take you to the parking lot in .2 miles."

7 months ago"We’ve hiked this trail a few times, and I’d say it’s moderate for most people — though a bit challenging for some. The view at the top is absolutely beautiful and totally worth it! The creek has been dried up both times we’ve gone, and the trails aren’t marked very well, so it’s easy to get turned around. Just be careful and take your time — it’s definitely an adventure!"
