a year ago"Beautiful trail. The bat cave is currently closed but we still enjoyed the hike. Bring plenty of water: the loop is only 3 miles long but on a sunny day you can really work up a sweat."

6 years ago"Great place to visit, really interesting area and so much to see. Great hiking trails and you can easily spend a weekend here walking. The main trail is quite easy and can be done in a few hours. Also worth doing this alongside El Morro."

5 years ago"Lovely trail, mostly concerned, due to.the snow some portions of the trail were closed. For a small Park. There is alot of history. Let's hope they get.the funds to preserve more of this continent history!"

3 years ago"The trail was easy to follow. Cool caves along the way but many were closed. The El Calderon itself was not that impressive since it's covered with plants now except from some areas. There were lots of parking spaces at the trailhead."

5 years ago"Lava tube caves are currently closed due to Covid? I hiked the El Calderon trail for awhile, junction cave is right by the parking lot, double sinks about a third of a mile out and Xenolith Cave is 0.7 Miles out. It's a neat area, would have been cool to climb through the lava tube caves."
