"A truly word-class museum destination. I was there for 5 hours and didn’t see it all. I’ll have to come back for another look. From dinosaurs, to ancient Egypt, to a huge collection of taxidermy animals, to meteorites and unique rocks. This has something for everyone. There’s an onsite cafe selling sandwiches and salads that are tasty and unique beers named after Sue and the dinosaurs."

The museum is very well-organized, with informative displays, interactive stations, and knowledgeable staff who make the visit engaging for both adults and children. 📍 Tips for Visitors: • Buy tickets online to skip the queue. • Allocate at least 3–4 hours for a complete experience. • Don’t miss the Inside Ancient Egypt and Evolving Planet exhibits. • Combine your visit with nearby Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium for a full Museum Campus day. "A great and clean museum! Had so many different exhibits and held children friendly activities which was really fun. Also home to the biggest TRex fossil, Sue! Very impressive seeing it in person and impressed by the surrounding high quality info around. Recommend it if you have a couple hours to yourself and in Chicago."

"Spent the day here while visiting Chicago during winter. Great place to walk around and learn new things about animals, dinosaurs, ancient cultures, plants, gems, science, molecular biology, and you can ask an AI generated dinosaur how many calories it eats a day and does it get enough daily fiber. Coat locker is available. Cafe food is surprisingly delish. Highly recommend the butternut squash soup and the Egyptian grain salad. Gift shop has some interesting and fun stuff."

"My family went with out Scouts Troop for the Dozin with the Dinos event in Jan 2026. It was a wonderful experience. We were able to see and do so much and on particular my kids loved the story time and it was nice to experience the museum in a different way. Everywhere was ADA accessible by elevators or stairs, they had water fountains accessible, bathrooms were cleaned at least three times while there. Activities ran until 11:45 and arrival was 6pm. The only down side was food pricing was insane especially with what you pay for the tickets. My family of 5 cost $450 for tickets and dropped $75 on food. Souvenirs we brought home were the pennies and coins and one mold o rama for $15."
