"This place and our tour guide Bill were such GEMS! The selection of Gems and minerals along with artifacts were so beautiful. I enjoyed learning about the items there, along with leaning about the area and Mr. Funk’s life and his family. They sound like such lovely, caring and creative people. I am grateful this is something Mr. Funk left to share with other people. I would highly recommend coming and taking a tour. Lots of information, plan to take notes, pictures and videos and bring your gemstones and minerals and they will help you identify them. Great for any age interested in learning more about this beautiful world we live in! Note-You will need call ahead to schedule a tour. This is a free event."

"All ages should attend!!!! This isn't your average day. Be prepared to have an amazing amount of facts, history, and stories presented to you with enthusiasm and excitement. We spent 2.5 hours here and it was so good we would have listed for hours more. Call for reservation to help them organize. Expect to stand for long periods, or they provide chairs. You can take bottled water. The house and gem building are well worth your time. They insisted that there was NO money needed and we are extremely thankful for making our day memorable and educational. Thanks to all of your special family history and your love of sharing them. "This place gives free tours with reservations. Our group of 9 had the entire place to ourselves and it was a delightful tour. Answered many questions. House is beautifully preserved and maintained with many original pieces. Guide was clear and very knowledgeable. There are stairs to climb but even if only able to see 1st floor it was worth it. The gem mussels next door was also fabulous."
