a year ago"Beautiful venue for a warm atmosphere unlike many hall rentals. You will get this place for the entire day. You have access to a kitchen with 2 fridges a stove & microwave. Bring pot holders & towels if you're using the stove. You'll have access to the garden. There's a park with big playground right next door. The bath rooms are clean & stocked. Plenty of trash cans. It's just a lovely canvas."

6 years ago"I've been familiar with the Hawken House since I played baseball on the Southwest Park ballfield (located behind this historic house, which was built in the 1850's). Although tours are available, I've never been inside the house, which is also home to The Webster Groves Historical Society. The Hawken family developed the Hawken rifle, which was extremely popular in the old west. The Hearth House, right next door, is a banquet hall, which is available for rental."
