"Nice museum to stop in and check out some history, but what makes this place awesome is the kind. Friendly, helpful staff! Nancy was the best. Very fun. Informative, she had a lot of great advice. She gave out coloring sheets and stickers to make our own beaded artwork. And I also got a rock! We will definitely be stopping back in to see Nancy again."

"Such a cool museum. Small, yet really beautiful. The building is historic. There's art. It's along the I&M. And the greeter, Nancy, ensures you feel like you're part of the picture. Out back, walk the I&m trail, and keep your eyes peeled for the Great White Egret who hangs out in the canal right behind the museum. This was my first visit, and I'll be back for sure. Oh! And visit the yarn and tea place next door (same building)"

"Loved the Growing Up Gen X exhibit! I didn’t even know this branch of the Illinois museum existed until a post from the museum about the Gen X exhibit popped up on my Facebook feed the other day. I had missed this exhibit when it was in Springfield last year and was so happy to catch it closer to home. The entire exhibit was very well done and it was fun to show my teen things I had or used at her age. My fellow Gen X friend enjoyed it too. John was so knowledgeable about upcoming museum and town activities that I now have a list of things I want to attend in the near future. I saved the Facebook event to attend their upcoming Ferris Bueller movie showing event in a few weeks. I’m interesting in seeing the fine arts exhibit that will be replacing this one in a few weeks too."

"Great space for a museum! It's brightly lit and feels historic without feeling antiquated. I was here for The Middle, an exhibit about growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s/50s. It was delightfully curated and had an excellent balance of interactivity, reflection, and information."

"Interesting experience! 1980s themed exhibit! Lots of reading, but some hands on experiences like playing Mario on a Nintendo! Update: New display with different art from the artists in the local area!"
