4 months ago"An uncrowded and underrated gem on the banks of a lesser known Illinois river. There are some small gorges with rock formations, great campsites, bald eagles to view times of the year, and all kinds of great recreational activities. Hopefully it stays under the radar so we can enjoy it without the crowds."

a week ago"Chippewa was a great place for the night. Right on the bike path. But no running water or bath house at this camp ground. The other campgrounds have shower houses. Chippewa seems to be for the quiet tent and car campers. It was lovely for 20 bucks a night."

2 weeks ago"It has always been a nice park. I dud notice this time that they are not upkeeping it the way that they were. The grass was grown pretty high and the visitors office was closed so I had a hard time finding our Pavillion. It all turned out great overall."
