4 years ago"Lava Falls 30-45 minutes round trip This was a great hike, very raw land scape, reminds me of Hawaii. This isn't a hike for someone who is instead of their feet bit pretty much everyone should be able to do this. There isn't a ton of difference from start to finish but take the lava bowl spur as you in up inside the bowl and it's interesting to see for the short added distance."

7 years ago"It may takes 60 min to visit lava falls and go back loop course. We can see cairn every 5-20 feet, we must follow those. There are no stable markers so these means your life markers! Great spot to see nature power. I recommend here for over 12 years old and we have to take smartphones to use google map services for our safety. It may dangerous for young children."

5 years ago"This is part of the El Malpais National Monument. You can take a short hike and walk on lava flows. There are even craters left behind by the cooling lava. Be sure to wear good shoes."
