"Been coming here over 30 years. They've grown from a small nature museum housed in a very old school house building, to a full-sized modern nature center. Wonderful place in any kind of weather. A lot of education about local Illinois flora and fauna, and the natural history of this area. Bonus! You can still go inside the old school house as well. A lot to do here and it is all free!"

"We traveled 50 min to get here and did not realize how much there is to explore locally! We will be back. For this adventure we enjoyed the nature center and the exhibit in the old 1 room schoolhouse. Trails are not abundant but there is a 1 mile and 1 2/3 mile trail in the woods leading off the nature center that are quite lovely. We will look to explore nearby areas soon!"

"Great spot for the family to get some fresh air and enjoy nature. Plenty of trails to explore. Signs identifying local wildlife and plants. Inside the center there’s a nice museum and play area for kids. I have a 2 and 4 year old and they loved it here! We spent about 2 hours there which was perfect for them."
