"What a fun zoo!!! We especially loved the chimpanzee and rhino habitats! It was adorable seeing all of the newborn primates. This zoo is great for a day trip/ couple hour adventure. It's very walkable and is easy to navigate. They also have plenty of snack/food options within the zoo, but they allow you to bring your own things as well. Perfect for a family trip!"

"It's likely just the timing of our visit, but there were SO many enclosures that were empty! And the entirety of "Australia" was closed. It's not super expensive to go there or anything, but you go to the zoo to see animals. It's slightly disappointing when you can't see everything you came for. That aside, it was a nice trip, weekdays are definitely the time to go, not many people were there. They have a baby orangutan!!! It's very adorable. We have a membership, but the ticket line looked like it would take about 10 minutes to go through on a Friday"

"Ok, so I bought my ticket through Groupon and it won't allow me to post my review but thanks for the discount on the ticket (buy your ticket at least 24 hours in advance on a weekday if possible). There was no wait time for me because I had a digital ticket out and ready to be scanned. I really enjoyed this zoo. I would like to give 4.5 stars but it won't let me. The only con (for me) Lockers are not provided so plan accordingly! I was passing through before going home and so I had already checked out of my hotel room. So I carried all my stuff around the whole visit. The Pros: The convenience of having water refill stations is great (a few more stations wouldn't hurt either especially for hotter days). I'm sure you can probably get water refills at the restaurants too although I did not ask. The restrooms did not smell bad but I don't know if it's the same case on crowded days. One of my favorite parts was the Wombat. They also have red bellied piranhas which was cool to see. I was surprised to see only one gift shop at the entrance. I'm sure the African painted dog would've been another highlight for me but it was out of view and did not get to see it at all."

"Los Angeles Zoo was a great experience overall and a good value for the price. The zoo is enjoyable, family-friendly, and we had a good time walking around and seeing the animals. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were no lions or elephants, which are usually some of the main attractions people hope to see at a zoo. Other than that, it was a fun visit and worth checking out."

"Came on Memorial Day. Had Groupon tickets (have these screenshot ready for them to scan if you're going in as a group). The zoo was good, but I feel like it could have been better. A lot of the exhibits were closed - I presume for renovation, which is great - but I didn't expect quite so many to be closed. I also found the zoo was a little hard to navigate, even with the maps."
