"This is a gem, “in the middle of nowhere” and I’m glad to see it finally being appreciated by more folks. I discovered it about four years ago, signed up for a membership, and used to stop, visit, and camp a few times each winter. In Fall 2013, I took a position as museum docent and it’s been a blast getting to meet so many new visitors. Your visit will be enhanced by knowing that the grounds are open from 9am to 4pm every day, and the schoolhouse museum is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. This is an all-volunteer organization and relies on donations to continue to operate. The many layers of history embedded in this patch of ground echo the history of this country and seeing physical relics in a setting like the Mojave desert is an added bonus. Bathrooms are available, but no food services. Plenty of places to picnic, however!"

"The historic buildings and mining equipment that 3ncompass this outdoor museum are amazing and vast! The rebuilt school house is incredible! A few walking trails with old equipment and artful displays of historic items left behind are just fantastic. Highly recommend!"

"An RV Harvest Host MUST STOP! We were immediately greeted by friendly helpful staff who guided our 39’ rig into the living museum grounds. A tour group was there and with leftovers abound, we were then offered burgers, coleslaw, homemade pork & beans, chips along with a Coke & Sprite to wash all the goodness down…on the house! Full 30/50A service + water is available for only $40/night. RV drivers take note; be sure to take your first left after turning onto Lanfair Rd (a service entrance which is better for big rigs and large fifth wheels)."

"Very nice unexpected visit! The docents are all wonderful and very knowledgeable. The kids and us had fun exploring the area. You can bring your picnic as they have a little "cafe" picnic area. They have restrooms. Entrance is free but donations are greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this visit!"

"A Harvest Host member that we went for a night Off the beaten path 30 minutes from Needles. Very quant heritage town of 20. Hookups provided for a fee. The place is a museum with mining artifacts on the grounds of Goffs."
