"Upon entry, we met Ms.Dawn who was super delightful, very informative, and gave us lots of great pointers about the museum. This place is cram full of artifacts. It’s like taking a walk back in time. The jail was super interesting. Built in the late 1800s and operating through 1976. The whole experience was just delightful. They give a free chunk of petrified wood for visitors. A few things for sale. So glad we stopped. We did pick up the route 66 Arizona passport and are excited to complete that as we travel through Arizona. Thank you, Dawn for everything. Highly recommend you visit!"

"This is one of the best museums we've ever been to. It is in the old courthouse and spans over multiple floors with the old jail in the lowest level (jail closed in 1976). #Arizona #Route66 #Holbrook"

"I was driving through and I seen the sign tourist information, which I read as free state maps for my collection. I needed the bathroom, ran in, was told I needed a key, ran got the key. Ran to the bathroom again. When done I noticed that the place was a museum. The signs outside make it sound like the displays are in the back where I went to. Nope, the whole building is full of diaplays, lower and upper. Ground floor level has displays of various items that people would have used. The upper floor is where the court house, judges chambers etc are. I got my state map, and enjoyed the stop. It's free to enter and look around, donation box."
