"Arguably one of, if not the best, small museums in So-Cal, both in terms of content and variety. It offers free admission to students, and the price isn’t so outrageous as to break the bank. What I think is most impressive is the scope of artists on display: Rembrandt, Renoir, Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, and famous sculptors. We explored most of the museum, but we still have much we need to see. That’s what I think makes it such a rewarding visit: you can explore it and still have things left over for other visits."

"Visited for its 50th anniversary and even though we live 8 minutes away, we had never been and didn't know what was there. It's a great museum with beautiful pieces and a very nice building. We enjoyed a couple of hours there. Don't forget to check out the garden, it's very relaxing."

"Norton Simon Museum had a 50th Anniversary of free attendance on the 1st weekend of November. They opened the newly garden area. Beautiful walking paths with lovely plants and statues abound. Their collection of paintings, statues from various countries & periods were worth the trip. A wonderful collection! Don't miss this wonderful museum in Pasadena."

"This museum may be small in size, but the sheer amount of art is staggering. Degas, Renoir, Picasso, Rembrandt, are just a few of the big names here. I came to see one specific painting, but made sure to visit every single part of the building. The outdoor sculpture garden is under construction but the interior alone was worth the visit. Tickets were only $20! I wish I had more time - there are lots of benches and the artwork is hung in a way that really lends to stepping back and contemplating. I’ve spent hundreds of hours in huge museums, but this museum, with its smaller footprint was so much more impactful. Cannot recommend the Norton Simon Museum enough!"
