Oklahoma Railway Museum

"The Oklahoma Railway Museum was a fun and insightful experience. I have two teenaged boys that I wasn’t sure how they would react to visiting here but nearly as soon as we were out of the car they were all over the exhibits. There is something about trains that sparks curiosity in people of all ages, in turn igniting interest in those giant beast of a machine that will never fade. While here (Aug. 23, 2025) we only saw one staffer during our visit and while we didn’t directly interact with her, we did overhear a conversation between her and another visitor who really only had a question about a new feature that is soon to be offered and the staffer was very pleasant and accommodating and answered the question confidently. The museum isn’t packed with visitors so you’re able to take your time without feeling rushed or crowded out. It’s a living exhibit and it seems they are periodically able to add more pieces but those pieces have to be restored often time to a quality worthy of display so please consider donating something even if if admission is free to help keep this museum open for future visitors to enjoy."

"We went there on a Friday and we were the only visitors at the time. It is free to walk around, take pics, and go inside some of the cars. You have to buy a ticket to ride a train."

"Great place to visit! We had a blast making memories and great place for photos. The volunteers and workers that maintain the museum that have so much knowledge about each train. Met an elderly gentleman that spoke about how he use to maintenance one of the trains. Love that this place is still pushing to stay open, help support it! Admission to the Museum itself is free. Donations are not required, but they are welcomed. Please keep in mind the Museum is mainly outdoors, so prepare accordingly for the weather."

"The Polar Express Oklahoma Railway was truly an experience of a lifetime for my kids and me. I honestly believe every child should get to experience this at least once — it was pure magic from start to finish. The ride was over an hour long and absolutely packed with fun. There was never a dull moment! My kids were entertained the whole time with all the activities, songs, and interactions. We enjoyed warm hot chocolate and treats, and the atmosphere felt so cozy and festive. The highlight, of course, was meeting Santa. Every child got their own moment with him — no rushing, no pressure — just pure joy. Each kid received their special bell, and the look on their faces was priceless. Even as an adult, I felt the magic. It was heartwarming in a way I didn’t expect. All the actors and staff did a phenomenal job bringing the story to life. Their energy and kindness made the experience unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend. Truly one of the best holiday memories we’ve made. 🎄✨"

"My husband and I visited the museum in the first part of August and really enjoyed it. My husband is a railfan / train enthusiasts. First off, everyone was very friendly. If you had a question about anything, they would have an answer for you. I want to give a shout out to Jerry, Joe and Ann. Very patient and knowledgeable about equipment. The area was very clean and open. The HO scale train layout that is in one of the old coaches / baggage cars was very well laid out / positioned for the space and was operational.....plus it had a/c in that one. We were able to experience the inside of an old caboose and get in the top part where the conductors and brakeman would ride. We just want to say "Thank You"for preserving a piece of transportation history. Everyone should experience and learn how people use to travel back in the day. It is free to walk around but the excursion has a small cost."
