Route 66 State Park Visitors Center

"Absolutely loved this stop. The Route 66 State Park Visitors Center, is more or less a free museum offering exhibits on the history of the famous route, Route 66 memorabilia and artifacts as well as a nice gift shop, where you can purchase a souvenir or two. This is a nice clean facility and the staff there was welcoming, and friendly. A must stop for any Route 66 enthusiast. Conveniently located just off of route 44 outside of St. Louis."

"This is a state park on Old Route 66. They have a nice visitor center there. They have some exhibits on the Mother Road. You can also pick up lots of information on what to see along Route 66. A must stop if you are interested in Route 66. It's also attached to a 500 acre or so state park. We didn't explore any of the park."

"This is a small Museum but it packs a lot of punch for how small it is. It has two or three rooms of Route 66 memorabilia, a lot of what I remember from the St Louis area when I was a kid, and it has a nice little gift shop too with a lot of Route 66 products that of course I had to buy some of. And then there's also the regular Visitor Center type area where you can get information about the area and maps and whatnot. It was worth the Stop and I got some pretty cool Route 66 postcards and mug. It's free to enter and go through the museum."

"This is always a must stop if you're traveling RT 66 or just in the area passing through. Great place for local history and some RT 66 history too. Staff is always friendly and welcoming."

"What a fun place. Such great memorabilia of Route 66. They have a gift shop full of Route 66 items. I collect magnets, so of course I had to get one. There is no charge. Be sure to sign the visitor log."
