9 months ago"We happened across this place and are so glad we did! Sam was so nice. He took us on a little 20 minute or so tour. The place has no charge, but we did Donate something as for Sam, this is a labor of love. He has created a little Wonderland where Cyclists, campers and anyone looking for a totally unique overnight experience can stay for the night. Whether you come for a 20 minute tour or an overnight stay, this place was cool. He plans to open a little coffee place also. Check it out!"

5 months ago"Sam was an amazing host we was hitching thru rented a cabin he even made a pot of beans for us and gave us the bigger cabin at the same price for the Hipcamp app problem’s we was having would recommend and definitely stay there again"

2 years ago"I took RT66 from Arizona to Illinois and Sams spot in Erick was for sure the highlight of the trip. I passed by it on my drive and turned around because even from the road it was interesting. A lot of hard work and creativity has gone into this place and Sam is one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet"

a year ago"Sam’s Town is absolutely worth the five minute detour onto Route 66 (and off the souless interstate)! Wonderful and inspiring ‘outsider art’ gardens by this also very adept photographer Samuel Hagen. Stuffed rooster and traveling companion Gregory Peck also enjoyed meeting Sam’s turkey, ‘Pilgrim’."
