Schuman Park

"Were from Iowa taking in Route 66 in Southern Missouri. The engine was one of the stops on our list. When we went the train tours hadn't started yet, but needed to go to the next town on Route 66 so we just walked around the fence. As we were getting ready to leave a man drove into the parking lot. He was going to do a tour in 30 minutes. We talked a bit and then he unlocked the gate and gave us a very informative tour of the train cars! Truly made our day! One of the highlights of our trip."

"Loved the train engine and passenger car. To see inside trains were only open with pre-arrangement, so spur of the moment stop, like ours, we could only see the trains from the outside of fence. We did have a picnic lunch with our dogs at the covered picnic area. Lovely spot."
