"If you're in town you have to take a few minutes and see the water tower. Little park with history of the town and the water tower. You need to read the one about the B17 fly over during WWII."

"Not only this tower (one of the tallest in Texas) stands proudly but so do all of the other Route 66 attractions in Shamrock. The tower also serves as a familiar beacon to welcome local travelers back home."

"The streetlights were coming on when we made the turn to head back to the highway and noticed the very tall water tower. Read later there were murals and some signage under it but we missed that this trip."
