Tulsa Zoo

"Been to San Diego Zoo, San Francisco's, Fresno's and maybe some others and will rate Tulsa's zoo with the best of the best. Well laid out with a variety of biomes which were mostly housed inside. Really impressed with the close proximity to the animals. The new elephant center is excellent. Looking forward to seeing the African Safari when it opens next year."

"Even though I don't like to support animals in captivity, we wanted to bring our son to the zoo for the first time! We arrived at 11:00am. They stopped taking admissions at 12:00 for hallZOOeen. So we had to be out by 1:00pm. We did go through some of the exhibits rather quickly to ensure that we would get to see it all before we had to go. But honestly, we were ready to leave around that time anyways, so it worked out perfectly. From what I could see most of the animals were very well cared for. Some of the inside enclosures looked like they needed some care..... There was a tiger pacing a foot bridge above us and that was a little alarming & I was sad for the bear. It just seemed a little sad but maybe it was just nap time after it had its lunch. My favorite was the monkeys (inside) but it was hard to find space to squeeze in and see them. There were lots of families posted up there, staying for awhile. So we weren't able to get pics with monkeys but that's ok! We got to see them feed the big turtles! My son absolutely loved the giraffes! We all did! And there was plenty of space to hang out and watch them awhile, even though there were lots of families. It was a good day & the weather was perfect. We will definitely come back and spend some more time. Or maybe even come to hallZOOeen! They had it decorated really cute for Halloween so I can only imagine it was much better to experience at night and with all the kids in their costumes!"

"This was fantastic! The zoo is nicely laid out, the staff is helpful and kind (most of the animals are too). We had a great time, there is a big area to cover but with benches and rest stops everywhere it's easy to do it all."

"First time visitors of the Tulsa Zoo & we would absolutely be back. I really appreciated how truly family friendly this zoo is designed. From the family stall bathrooms, the nursing room, the ease of navigating around with a stroller — it made for such an enjoyable experience as a family with babies. My only complaint would be the insane amount of construction going on, but I know that’s to improve the zoo in the long run. All in all, a great visit! Would return."

"Four stars only because they didn't have any mustelids on exhibit yet was surprisingly better than I would have expected? Better than Amarillos Zoo actually and I did not expect that to be yet was lots of walking probably 3000-5000 steps. The exhibits were great but they seem to really be invested in their elephant care, which was cool but as Moved on to the Monkeys. I tried speaking monkey to the monkeys, they acted like they were on benzos or a type of sedation, because they didn't even look at me & I was loud it was a first but i guess he can't win every time. But I was impressed by the eagle exhibit lots of room for the animals and was spaced out properly.I felt the tigers were a little bit pent up, but they looked like they were on something as well get.I would too if I was in that situation so I can't blame the zookeepers or the animals! In all I would actually go back again to see everything. So I enjoyed my time here! & plan on returning!"
