"This is the coolest place ever. The variety of machines is fantastic, but doesn’t compare to the owners knowledge and kindness. He runs a youth program, and is clearly passionate for teaching and imparting an appreciation for making things. We came on a Saturday and the owner spent time telling us cool history, and making a custom tile."

"I included the vintage sewing machine museum in my Tulsa travel plans. I did not read the reviews. I saw that it had a high rating on TripAdvisor. When I arrived on Saturday, the hours were later than the TripAdvisor listing. I sat in my car in the rain trying to figure out where to go before a 2pm show that was the reason for my trip. I must have been in my car for longer than I thought because a man with an umbrella appeared at my window to tell me that the museum was closed. I said that I would come back. I returned to the museum on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. The man with the umbrella returned to my car and helped me get my right foot out of the car. We went inside and no one else was there. I was waiting to find out the admission cost when the man said that he was going to design a tile for me since I don't sew. He pulled out a chair. He showed me other designs he had made for tiles on his laser printer. He showed me photos on his phone of the children who have designed projects with his help. I am overwhelmed as he asked questions about my hobbies. I said repeatedly that I did not need a tile but he kept showing me designs, showing the tile would take 20 minutes. We decided on a tile design and he kept talking. Eventually he showed me around museum and left me to look around. The museum is very full of machines and other sewing items. I stayed for two hours. I quietly put a donation for the kids' projects in the donation box and he walked me to my car with my tile and keychain. I definitely recommend this museum."

"Today I paid a visit to the Vintage Sewing Center and Museum here in Tulsa. I learned how to service my old Singer sewing machine. It reminded me of when I was growing and watched my mom open up her machine to oil and make adjustments. WK explained all the workings to me in a very understandable way. He provides classes for all ages. I was amazed when I saw all the handiwork kids have done! It was a great visit!"
