"This was an excellent stop to see the wind turbine and the mural painted on each side. One side is memorial for Route 66, the other side is a memorial for the veterans. It's very windy and it is also known as Space City which you will find the traditional 66 sculpture in front. Definitely worth a stop to see everything else that is there including a park, a dog park, a patio with chairs to enjoy, restroom and a GaGa game for the kids. The wind turbine is impressive, beautiful and definitely a very large real life thing to see. We usually see them when they're up on top of the stands spinning in the distance. The memorial wall to the veterans is beautiful with the flags and the sculptures. It was interesting to read the information posted and I definitely learned things I did not know. Add this to your stop if you're on Route 66 for sure!"

"Stopped by to see the Wind Turbine Blade Display which is also a Veterans Memorial. The blades have different murals painted on either side, the Custer County Veterans Memorial is on the site as well as a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Right next door is a dog park and there is are restrooms in a replica of the Lucille's Filling station but were closed at the time of our visit."

"Weathered welcome sign along with some history on the wind turbine. The blade is painted with a nice mural of the town history. A Vietnam Veterans memorial to honor those who served. A huge covered patio with picnic tables. Great stop for lunch while traveling route 66."
