Ambassador Gold Coast - The Chicago Hotel Collection

"I recently stayed at The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast, and my experience genuinely exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was warm and seamless. The team kindly upgraded my stay, and the private rooftop terrace that came with my room ended up being the most memorable part of the entire trip. It offered such a peaceful retreat above the city — and I was lucky enough to catch a surprise glimpse of the northern lights from the terrace that night. It felt magical. Dinner at the hotel was wonderful, with thoughtful dishes and flavors that made it feel like more than just a hotel meal. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also great — a generous spread with plenty of options, all fresh and well-prepared. Every interaction with staff throughout my stay was consistently kind, friendly, and professional. Even when I experienced a small shower issue, the team handled it immediately and graciously extended my checkout by a couple of hours, which made a huge difference in my day. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed, but it was the little touches — the quiet atmosphere, the attention to detail, the feeling of being genuinely cared for — that made this stay stand out. It felt like a true home-away-from-home experience, elevated in all the best ways. Thank you to the entire team for such an immaculate and memorable stay. I can’t wait to return."

"I booked with a third party. The amenities fees we're disclosed. Mr Thomas (at the reception) was kind, patient and helpful. The barman was kind too. I thought the room needed some fixing up but it also add to the charm of the hotel history. The bed was really comfortable. The food was good (try the ambassador burger and the golden fries). I would love to go on the rooftop but it was closed when I got there (after breakfeast). I found the lobby/bar/restaurant a bit too hot on mornings and evenings but it didn't seem to bother the others guests so I think it was more of a "me problem" than the hotel's. They we're maybe understaffed on my last night and morning because the waiting at the bar was longer than the others nights and we ran out of regular coffee around 8:15 on saturday. If I may suggest: they should offer another ameneties package for those who are traveling alone (I didn't had breakfast for two, I left half my water bottles). Maybe $25-$40 cheaper? Overall, I had a great stay. Thanks 🙂"

"Breakfast was very good, staff was nice, valet parking staff very attentive. The package includes tickets for 2 breakfast, 2 drinks and dinner discount at their restaurant. View from the roof top was enjoyable, peaceful. Being that the hotel is celebrating their 100 years! Is amazing!!! Rooms have the retro feeling with some upgrades, the carpet in my room had a lot of staines but clean. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider it for a return."
