Best Western Discovery Inn

"Gotta say this was a pleasant surprise. I was on the road for 12 hours and it was dark when I pulled in. The reviews said the place was really clean however when I pulled up the impression was run down and not well maintained. The lobby didnt give me a feeling of comfort although the young woman working was friendly and helpful. However when I checked the room, it was immaculate. Spotless and shinning. Beds, linen, bath, towels. Excellent. Bed was comfy and I slept great. My room backed up to the freeway and I could hear the road a bit, yet it was more background/white noise. I did not partake in breakfast, I was on the road at 4:30a."

"A great place to stop for the night. It’s a bit noisy…but so is Fairfield Inn… Super clean room, shower was awesome, breakfast smelled good. We ate at Del’s last night after a long day of driving-the food and atmosphere was great. The meatloaf was delicious and my husband had brisket enchiladas-good sized portions. I thought the front desk folks were fabulous-a very pleasant stay!! And less expensive—WIN WIN!!"

"The woman (sitting on left side of counter) on Saturday evening was wonderful, courteous and guaranteed a quiet room. She was correct, yes you can hear the road a little but not a big deal. Sitting on the deck overlooking the pool was so relaxing. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and many options. Morning staff were also excellent."

"One of the top best westerns around. Remodeled, clean tile floors, most extensive breakfast spread I have seen, easy on and off to Highway 40. You will hear highway noise if you’re on that side, but the fans are so good in the room that they provide plenty of white noise. Spacious and plenty of parking."

"I had traveled here in Tucumcari with my sister and partner. My partner and I stayed here while my sister was with a friend. First thing, the lady that helped us, I’m not sure what her name was, but she has longish dark hair and wears glasses - she is the sweetest receptionist I’ve interacted with. Just my luck, I got a room I wanted and I didn’t even ask, I wanted a room on the second floor facing the interstate. (I know that seems weird considering I saw lots of reviews about the noise, but I loved the noise because for me it creates this sort of ambiance) The room was very clean and spacious and had everything you could think of needing. There are also some restaurants and gas stations near by which also helps. Overall I enjoyed staying here"
