"Comfortable beds and linens. Great black out curtains. High tech with an iPad that controls everything. Check-in was a little clunky with the iPads and I would rather not upload my ID, when in the past they would just look at it. The common space is very colorful, lots of people working in the common areas. Has a bit of an Aloft vibe. I usually prefer a more chill hotel experience but this looked fun. You should be comfortable in urban settings, the neighborhood can seem a bit dicey, but I generally felt safe. Good spot for the price."

"My stay at citizenM Los Angeles Downtown was absolutely fantastic. The hotel has a modern, stylish vibe, and the atmosphere feels welcoming from the very first moment. The rooms are smart, comfortable, and perfectly designed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location is excellent — close to everything but still peaceful. I truly enjoyed my time here and would happily return. Highly recommended! Roman"

"Phenomenal staff and insanely cool decor! Lando and Drew were extremely attentive, like every staff member we encountered but those two especially stood out. I had 1 million questions about basic things they answer every single day, and they both took it in stride while making engaging conversation. Everything was extremely intuitive, fun, modern, and exciting. The rooms were small by "normal" standards, but truly made the most of every inch and everything was exceptionally clean. The only downside is parking, which the hotel has no control over. I have never had such a unique and truly satisfying and indulgent experience at a hotel before until CitizenM. Well trained, professional, extremely friendly without feeling pushy staff that's available 24/7. The food (shoutout secret menu 😋) was absolutely phenomenal, and the breakfast was well worth the money. Sleek, almost futuristic rooms with fun controls and compatible TVs literally stole the show from the beautiful scenery right outside the picture perfect lobby. The gym was a bit small, but the machines made the most of the space with a stunning outside lounge area. Truly worth every penny, and made the entire trip to LA well worth the drive. Convenient location to several shopping centers for food and misc. as well as nightlife. All around great experience. 12/10 definitely recommend."

"This place is pretty cool. I was just here for a job I had around the corner. The room I stayed in was tiny, but still very cool. I was able to cast video to the TV, the iPad controls the lights, blinds and TV. I got a drink at the bar and how to light dinner. My drink was great the food was good. I got a good deal on the room so it was definitely worth it. Does the parking garage behind the hotel the charges about $38 a day. There's an open parking lot across the street the charges about $30 a day."

"The hotel is cute and modern, but there are several issues worth noting. Room size. The room is about the size of a cruise cabin. If you are traveling alone, it is sufficient. There is no iron in the room. Instead, there is a shared room with an iron and ironing board on every other floor. The tablet-based technology is an interesting idea, but poorly executed. The tablet is attached to a very short cord, only a few inches long, essentially like a TV remote mounted to the wall. What is the point? The tablet controls the lights, TV channels, curtains, and color patterns in the room, but it is missing a critical feature that most hotels proudly provide: room service information, or at the very least a menu and bar hours. There is also no indication anywhere in the room about drinking water availability, and no bottled water is provided. If you stay long enough to discover the breakfast buffet, you will eventually find a water fountain and reusable bottles that guests can fill and take back to their rooms. However, no one tells you this at check-in, and you likely will not discover it until the morning, assuming you paid extra for breakfast. Breakfast, however, is actually great. Check-in and check-out. Check-in and check-out were a mess. Respectfully, this is not a hostel or a pod hotel somewhere in Tokyo. I expect to be checked in by a person at a four-star hotel, not told that I have to do it myself. I can make my own bed and clean the room, but that is not why I am staying here. Cleanliness. The room itself appeared clean upon check-in, but the hallway carpet on my floor was very dirty, with small pieces of trash scattered throughout."
