The location could not be more perfect - right in the loop with river views. This makes it incredibly convenient for sightseeing or getting around Chicago, with the L nearby. Inside the hotel, its pretty quiet, too. The views are incredible. I loved the beds, super comfortable! I also like the room had big desk space and a comfortable sitting chair, extra useful for doing work in your room. Extra touches: the hotel gym is decent - fine for getting a quick workout in, so I appreciate the gym (plus open 24 hrs so if you're jetlagged, you can get in those early or late sessions!). Another big plus: free washing and drying in the basement! The staff are also all super welcoming and friendly. One thing is the bathrooms were a bit dated, in my opinion, but worked fine and were still clean."

The location could not be better, right on the river walk. They did not charge me extra for an early check in. The room and second floor common area had ample coffee. The chairs in the lobby and second floor common area were very high end."

(10 min walk from bean, right across street from 146 line that takes you to museums, North Grant parking garage 5 min walk). The hotel had a great view of the river and streets. Beautiful historic looking lobby. The room was small but it optimizes the space well. The TV was high def with 1080p signal. They had a nice closet of supplies for guests if you forgot anything essential. They also had nice water refilling stations on the floor. If you like coffee and need a business space, the 2nd floor had a little lounge for that purpose. We brought our son and it was kid friendly enough. The king is 2 twins pushed together, but we slept fine. Great value for the price, would stay again and recommend to others."

Riverwalk, downtown, cloud gate and other attractions are walkable distance away. The parking is a bit stressfull with 75 dollars for valet and 30 for parking .5 miles away. Overall this was an amazing experience and I recommend others to enjoy it too."

However, I encountered a few issues. My toilet was clogged, and it took three requests before someone came to fix it. Additionally, the thermostat was stuck at 68 degrees. The hotel promptly resolved the issue by providing a portable heater. The elevators were a bit problematic during peak hours, as they could get quite crowded when trying to go down. On a positive note, the hotel provided complimentary water bottles and dispensers on each floor. There’s also a lounge on the second floor where you can enjoy free tea and coffee."
