What stood out most was the staff’s professionalism and genuine hospitality. Everyone I interacted with — from the front desk to the restaurant team — made me feel welcome and respected. "James the front desk person on 11/22/25 was very nice and accommodating, everyone was nice. Great location. The room is okay, amenities - bring your own☺️ ( they only provide shampoo, conditioner, bodywash) for the cost of one night, was expecting some atleast 2 bottles of water, coffee, toothpaste, toothbrush and lotion. Maybe the cleaner just forgot to leave some! The front people made up the missing piece tho☺️"

"We are loyal Marriott guests and always choose the brand when we travel, so when we visited Chicago for the first time we naturally booked here. The hotel itself is nice — our room was great, the gym was well-equipped, and the bar was a nice spot to relax. Unfortunately, what really surprised us was how unfriendly some of the staff were. The front desk seemed disinterested, almost as if they didn’t want to be there. One evening, because of the rain, we tried to eat at the hotel restaurant. The hostess told us they had a party of 14 and basically suggested we go elsewhere. When we asked about the empty tables, she said we would need to wait at least an hour but didn’t even give us the option to wait — it came across as if she couldn’t be bothered. On a positive note, the concierge was excellent — by far the best employee we encountered. Friendly, helpful, and eager to assist, he really stood out in a great way. Overall, the hotel is lovely, but we wish the staff reflected the usual Marriott hospitality we’ve come to expect."
