Courtyard by Marriott St. Louis Downtown/Convention Center

"The family was in St. Louis for an event and we chose the courtyard as being central to all the places we needed to go. The building is historic and quite lovely the elevators in the lobby speak of past errors of greatness in St. Louis. Lobby, staff and valet are gracious, friendly, and Knowledgeable. The downstairs bistro was a great place to gather in the evenings or when deciding where to go next. We had drinks down there several times and snacks. There is a living room like atmosphere around the TV where some of us watched a game. The rooms are well appointed my daughter and I shared a Large queen room. The bathroom was updated but maintained a sense of elegance from before. I wish that the kitchen nook had had a microwave as sometimes we brought leftovers back from other meals. Beds were comfortable. There is a new way of making the beds that even for 5 1/2 foot woman leaves you trying to pull it out from the bottom to get enough sheet coverage. The location is very convenient. We ended up walking most places. There is parking in a garage a block away which cost $40 a day. There’s also plenty of street parking And lot parking if you’re comfortable leaving a car there. The neighborhood is interesting and vibrant with wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance. This was an excellent place to stay and I will definitely stay here again. Next time I’m in St. Louis."

"From the moment we arrived, we encountered exceptional service. The valet attendant helped with baggage and the front desk checked us in quickly considering we had three different reservations. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and it is so quiet! There are a number of restaurants and activities within walking distance. The one minor concern I did have was handled professionally and with great urgency by the hotel manager. The bistro employees were friendly especially Mona who was the highlight of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. Louis."

"More of a 4.5, but the rooms were fantastic and the service at breakfast and food tips for the city made up for a small hassle getting fresh towels. Great tips for good local food and the rooms were well designed and comfortable."

"The hotel room itself is beautiful with nice amenities, however it was weird there was no microwave in the mini kitchen. The entrance was a little hard to find (it’s on the side of building) and parking was weird at first until we figured it out. The staff themselves were the best part with everyone being really friendly, welcoming, and willing to help our stay be as comfortable as possible. We requested a box fan to the room which they promptly brought up. The only thing I wish they had done was provided more towels like I asked in my reservation, but it was also on me to ask them again once I was there. Overall I would stay here again, although I think I’d like to stay in a hotel with a pool!"
