Desert Inn Tucumcari

"I stayed here 4 nights while visiting family. The room was clean and everything worked. You do need to turn on power strip for microwave and fridge when you get there and it didn't take long for the fridge to get cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was room key stopped working twice but the front desk fixed it quickly. The breakfast was delicious and plenty to eat. There is a locked box located at front desk to drop off your key when checking out. Staff was always available the few times I needed them."

"This hotel was great for the price, they had the pool and hot tub working and it was great. The check in time was really strange they have you check in at 3pm and check out at 11am never been to a hotel that does that. The breakfast was amazing I haven’t been to a hotel that offers waffles in a while I really did appreciate that not only the waffles but they had strawberries to add on top. The rooms are small but great for what it’s worth they have just enough space you can tell they did just remodel. I overall really enjoyed my stay minus one thing unfortunately the maids were trying to rush us out of the rooms the check out time was 11am like I mentioned and it was around 10:20 and I had a do not disturb sign and they kept knocking and eventually the manager (I’m assuming) was very rude and told us we had to leave and when we didn’t she was definitely more upset and when we told her the check out time wasn’t till another 40 minutes she told us it didn’t matter that the maids needed to clean this is where the 4 star rating comes in it was really unprofessional from both parties and was unexpected otherwise the stay was great!"
