Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

"The front desk manager is really nice. All of the front desk workers are really nice, and it doesn’t seem fake or forced. They genuinely seem to care. I’m not sure if it’s just the Midwest niceness that I’m not used to coming from the southwest, but everyone here was extremely nice. The room was clean. They change the breakfast up daily which I like. It is in a very good location. You have easy walking access to Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Sephora etc. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to visit Chicago. The niceness here was so good, if it weren’t for the cold I’d strongly consider moving to the city. I definitely felt taken care of here. They were doing construction though during the day,, but they notified guests of any thing that was happening."

"We wanted a girls get-away near Michigan Ave but avoiding a near $200 per night bill. This hotel was awesome. Just a block off of Michigan Avenue, super clean room, attentive staff, an impressive free breakfast with dietary alternatives. We loved the fact that there were burrito places, Jimmy Johns, Taco Bell, Jersey Mikes and a 7-11 literally 2 min walking distance. An easy walk to the Harry Potter Store and Water Tower Place."

"We had a lovely stay! All associates very friendly, you can tell that they love what they do and we’re all very helpful. We appreciated the 20% off coupon for a nearby restaurant, Timothy O’Tool’s! Food and atmosphere was great! Located near the Northwestern Hospital campus, a diverse number of restaurants with in walking distance. Breakfast was fine. The only thing I would suggest is to add better lighting. There was no lighting in desk area and hard to apply makeup in bathroom."

"Highly recommended if you want to go to all the attractions by walking. Rooms are very good but small but good. Service was awesome. Ppl are very friendly and there to help you on your request anytime. Breakfast options are less but quite decent one and taste is good. Kids friendly. cons: Since it located in core downtown we hear truck noise. Thay kept hear plug."

"This hotel was nice. Near the mag mile, the river walk, the Harry Potter store, Nike store, etc… there were also a lot of restaurants in the area. The shops on state are also nearby. I was greeted in the lobby by the really nice staff and there’s a small store in the lobby too. There is a small incidental fee charged daily and held until after you leave. The room was a nice size as well and can easily fit 4 people if needed."
