Gateway Hotel Santa Monica

"Simple, yet excellent hotel for short and longer stay. We came as a family, stayed five nights and can only say positive things about the Gateway Hotel: the staff are very friendly and helpful, the service is great, the rooms are spacious and clean, get cleaned up every day. The underground car park is spacious even for bigger vehicles to maneuver around. The included breakfast is simple but all you really need (coffee, OJ, cereals, pancakes, yogurts, mandarines and bananas). I would happily stay there again."

"I had a great stay at the Getaway Hotel in Santa Monica. The hotel is very clean, and the service was phenomenal. I’ve stayed here three times and have had no complaints. The only downside was some noise coming from the top floor. If you’re not sensitive to noise while sleeping, it shouldn’t be an issue. The staff kindly changed my room, which I really appreciated. The location is excellent—within walking distance of a great gourmet coffee shop. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely come back again."

"Room was clean and nice teal color on accent wall with mini fridge (which did not work until we requested replacement for 2 days.) Restaurant was right next door so I could put mom in the room and run down and get us some delicious food. Rooms need a microwave or at least somewhere in the building. We had leftovers but couldn’t reheat them. Parking was like $17 a night in the same building. Room was $200- 240 a night. Not too noisy most of the time. Bed was comfortable. We were in a disabled room so bed was nice and low. Mom is 4’6”. Bathroom was spacious and nice new fixtures. Ask for medical rate if you are there for medical reasons. Breakfast is cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, granola bars, hard boiled eggs, hot pancakes, coffee, tea, and instant oatmeal."

"Nice hotel located within walking distance of the Santa Monica Pier. The area feels safe, and there’s a CVS, a 7-Eleven, and a laundry nearby. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is good, but the best part is definitely the room; We really enjoyed it. The bed, pillows, and sheets were excellent, and the room was spacious. There’s also parking available. I would definitely choose this hotel again in the future."
