"I'm so happy with our stay! From the moment we walked in, I knew we had made the right choice. The hotel is beautiful--it's probably one of the coolest lobbies I've seen--the staff was immediately helpful and friendly (thank you, especially, to Yolo at the front desk for being so gracious and welcoming!) and the Italian restaurant was phenomenal and classy with an excellent happy hour menu! The hotel is clean and very well cared for with great amenities. Breakfast isn't fancy, but it's good, fresh, and FREE (which I've learned is a hot commodity in Chicago) with plenty of hot food options. The location is top notch--easily within walking distance of Magnificent Mile, the Theater District, and Riverwalk with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. This was perfect for us. Thank you!"

"Thank you very much to the staff of Hampton Inn & Suites (Chicago Downtown). They were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I believe that service truly makes a difference, and I was satisfied with theirs! Location was also great, and the rooms were clean and looked new! All in all, would highly recommend! :)"

"Just got back from a week long stay in 1229. Nice corner top floor suite. The fire department across the street didnt bother me much since we travel with a big fan. Staff was very nice and helpful... just send them a message on the app. Breakfast area was large but arrive before 745am or you will be waiting a bit. Everything was stocked and kept clean. It was a great stay and not too far from the Red line stop."

"We stayed here recently, picked it for downtown location near the river. (actually meant to stay at the Hampton Inn near the London House but got turned around!) We had no idea it was near a fire station but we were on the south side interior of the building and didn't hear a thing. We paid about $250 for 2 queen beds for 1 night. Rooms were basic and clean, nothing special. It would have been nice for a few more amenities like shower caps or bath robes but you know, it's the Hampton Inn. I noticed the cleaners the next day vacuuming with some pretty serious steam cleaners. Breakfast buffet was pretty good with dark, light and decaf coffee, DIY waffles, bagels, toast, etc...The main complaint I have is that the only eggs on the hot bar were hard boiled or cheese crepes. I think there should always be dairy-free scrambled eggs on a breakfast buffet. Also, there was no bacon but only sausage patties. Shouldn't there always be bacon? I didn't swim in the pool but the pool room was very warm and steamy and I wished I had my swim trunks. I enjoyed my coffee at a little table there. During better weather the outdoor patio adjacent could be quite nice."
