He even got us a room that was on a higher floor and a second bathroom!! Big shoutout and thank you to Robert :) It was great and the room had beautiful views of the lake + very spacious. Gym wasn’t included with the package we purchased but $18/day. But if you want to workout, the amenities are really nice (even barbells and platform) and a mini indoor track. You have access for full day if you pay. My friends and I enjoy walking so the 1 mile walk to the bean wasn’t bad at all! About 20 minutes and the water side is so pretty! It’s just a straight walk and not hard to navigate. Everyone was very kind, from security to reception! Thank you for a great stay here in Chicago! Will come again :)"

He was so engaging and personable. Rooms were clean but the windows were quite drafty. Very walkable to the Roosevelt L stop providing quick and easy access to Midway airport. Will definitely be back!"

It was probably one of the fanciest places we've stayed; there was helpful service around every corner, everything was clean and even pretty, and also clearly well kept for being such a historic location. Speaking of location, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted (the Shed, Art Institute, Field Museum, etc) with ease. We also had drinks in the bar where they provided very tasty seasonal beverages. My only grievance is that our room was not well lit (enough that I feel the need to mention) but the quality of the room was great otherwise."

The building itself feels grand, especially the lobby and common areas, which still carry a strong old school presence. Rooms are comfortable and generally well maintained, though some areas feel dated and could use refreshing. Service is professional and efficient, but not particularly warm or personal. It feels like a large operation that runs smoothly rather than a boutique style experience. Overall, it delivers reliability, space, and location more than charm. A solid choice if you value history and convenience and are not expecting a modern luxury feel."
