The shower is tiny, the bathroom is small and has minimal counter space, and the whole room is small in general at least for the double queen room we had. I expected this based on reviews and didn’t mind. I do wish they moved the shower curtain out a little it was an uncomfortable shower. Our room was pretty quiet once we closed the window. It was a Saturday night and we went to bed early and didn’t hear much. Staff was polite and my charges were correct. Parking in the back was 15 bucks and it seemed like someone was out there most of the night. We didn’t have any problems."

European style rooms without a lot of bells and whistles. If you're looking for corporate chain hotel amenities this ain't it, it's quaint, cozy and comfortable. Onsite parking is excellent."

There is staff pride; so importantly it is the tone set by the outstanding hotel manager, Betty! She loves her work with a career which has spanned three decades at the hotel. Betty cares about each guest. She even helped directly before arrival by showing care and concern with the utmost of professionalism. Betty and all the staff greeted with big hellos daily, creating the feeling of warm embraces. This is a hotel to appreciate and love. The building is extremely clean although the lack of modernism can deceive. Don’t be deterred. If it’s typical, more modern and predictable you seek by all means book a Hilton or Marriott. If you want authentic and special then book the Hollywood Historic Hotel. It exudes the moments of bygone times. I am truly proud to have stayed at this wonderful place!"

It is an old hotel however the rooms are okay, spacious and have everything you need. However there is a musty smell in the room, it is not too bad but it is there. It is a good place to stay in a lower budget than the average hotels however it is a away from the very central areas and doesnt have a metro line close which may be a problem if you dont have your own transport. If you rent a car though this place is perfect."
