The room was spotless, no dust, finger prints, or marks. The staff was lovely. The first night we couldn’t get our heat to turn on and they sent someone up immediately. I don’t think we waited even five minutes. He had it fixed in just a couple of minutes and was hilarious the entire time. They left a birthday card and treats in our room. They were attentive and handled everything before we really could even think of it. They gave us free tickets to a show in town and got us a Chicago pizza on them. When we arrived we forgot somethings in the car and they brought the car back for, grabbed what we needed and brought it to our room. They also brought a delivery up to us with plates and glasses without us asking them to bring it up. Ron and Michael were extremely wonderful. Michael made our trip, he became our bestie while we were there. He made sure we had everything we needed and that we never had to wait for our car to be brought to us or for a valet to grab it from us. We even said that we wished Michael were our uncle or father-in-law because of how funny and fun he was. The hotel was also close to everything we had planned for the weekend so we never had to go far. It was also very walkable as well and felt incredibly safe.I highly recommend staying at The Blake. Honestly, it’s incredibly affordable with the service you get and the convent location. It’s where I’ll be staying every time I’m in Chicago."

We were able to walk to almost every popular spot in the Loop, which was very convenient. Our room was cozy, modern, and well-equipped. We appreciated having a small refrigerator and a microwave, which made things easier. The only suggestion we have is related to the season we visited: during the cold and snowy weather, it would have been great to have a space or rack to hang wet or sweaty clothes, gloves, and scarves. Despite that, one of the best parts of our stay was the Meli café inside the hotel. It felt like having a cozy dining room at home—no need to bundle up to go outside for breakfast. The food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and always smiling. We especially want to recognize the excellent service of Martina, Boyana, and Nikita at our tables, whose care truly enhanced our experience. We give both the hotel and the café a full 5-star rating."

3 weeks ago"Hotel Blake was a great deal! It’s in a nice location, the staff was friendly, and the room was really nice. The only downside was the lighting in the bathroom was pretty low. The only lighting was on the mirror, and even at its highest, it wasn’t very light. But that is the only negative to the hotel - we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!"

a month ago"This hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of everything. If you are driving, they offer a convenient valet service for $60 a night, though it’s discounted to $50 for owners. My biggest piece of advice is to request a front facing room. The rear facing rooms look out onto a massive wall that unfortunately feels a bit like a prison, and the alleyway below can be quite noisy. To be fair, the entire area is generally loud with sirens throughout the night due to the central location, but the hotel is thoughtful enough to provide earplugs for those who need them. Great stay overall, just remember to ask for the front side."

5 months ago"Our stay at Hotel Blake was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. I was immediately impressed by their attention to detail; they perfectly honored our booking request for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, placing us in a quiet and spacious corner unit on the top floor. One of the standout features was their modern communication. Shortly after check-in, we received a welcome text, which became an incredibly convenient way to ask questions throughout our stay. They were so proactive that they even sent a mid-stay survey to ensure everything was going well. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond. They didn't just answer questions—they proactively offered helpful dinner suggestions and made us feel truly welcome. We were aware that the hotel was undergoing some construction, but it had absolutely no impact on our stay. We heard no noise and saw no inconvenience at all, which speaks to their excellent management. The location is fantastic, situated within easy walking distance of numerous great restaurants, coffee shops, and the Loop station, making it an ideal base for exploring Chicago. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!"
