From the outside, it looks like a no-brand, maybe-even-a-dive roadside motel. Do not let that fool you. The photos truly do not do this place justice. Once you step inside, it’s an entirely different world—thoughtfully designed, creative, stylish, and clearly built with intention. What really sets Hotel Zazz apart is the experience. The use of interactive, integrated text messaging throughout the stay is seamless and genuinely useful—not gimmicky. From check-in to questions to support, it felt modern, personal, and refreshingly efficient. The staff and management are outstanding. You can feel their personal touches everywhere—from the décor to the attention to detail to the way they engage with guests. This isn’t a cookie-cutter hotel; it feels curated, cared for, and human. The level of personal attention was far beyond what I expected, even at higher-end branded properties. The location is fantastic—right in downtown Albuquerque’s entertainment district. Walkable, lively, and convenient without feeling chaotic. The only drawback is the limited on-site parking—but even that is handled impressively well. The hotel goes above and beyond to compensate with secure street parking, cameras, and a clear focus on guest safety. Honestly, it ended up being incredibly convenient and not an issue at all. In short: Hotel Zazz wildly exceeded expectations. It’s unique, thoughtfully run, and genuinely memorable. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I recommend it without reservation to anyone visiting Albuquerque."

The pool looked amazing. 4 star is, because although the rooms are super cool, they are not immaculate, so hotel snobs beware."

A really nice touch was the creamer left in the fridge for our coffee. The location was close to several fantastic restaurants and a short walk to the Historic Lobo Theater. The hydration station allowed us to refill the provided glass water bottle and grab a small bag of ice for the room. The speakeasy itself is worth the trip! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again!"

They’ve done a nice job with the renovation and I had a very good time with my friends at poolside. There is always something going on there is a film festival one night and the next night there was a Music performance the life band and DJ. My room was bright and clean. I had a really good room size. It was on Route 66/Central Avenue and right above the speakeasy so it was a little bit noisy. The front desk did give me an eye mask and earplugs which helped. Overall, though I had a really great time and I look forward to staying here the next time I come to town."
