"Glad it’s near student housing. It felt completely safe there. Simple rooms, everything you need. Pool opens up late, gym is open 24/7. Good free breakfast. Plenty of space to work if needed. Parking is across in a parking structure, but no worries, you’re really just crossing a small street that has college housing around. Felt safe being a woman traveling."

The breakfast was delicious, and the reception staff were courteous and accommodating. Furthermore, the location was ideal, with downtown being conveniently close to the hotel."

"Perfectly situated two blocks from Keck Hospital with shuttle services to and from the hotel and hospital every day of the week. Rooms were clean and comfortable with only one room out of three stayed in over the course of a month had a lumpy bed. The absolute star of the hotel is their staff from front desk, to breakfast room attendants, to bar/kitchen staff, to house keeping. EVERYONE was so friendly, personable, and helpful. During such a stressful and emotional time with a loved one in the hospital, Hyatt House staff made life a little bit easier and eliminated the stress of being away from home. "We stayed here as it was only around 12 miles from Universal Studios. This is in a wierd area close to USC Medical Center and campus, very industrial looking area. A tiny bit of wierd transient activity but this is LA- it is everywhere. Hotel staff were friendly and if there are any issues, friendly USC police will respond. At night you must have a room card to scan in order to enter the building lobby. Parking is in the parking garage about a one minute walk across the street and there is a charge. Just be aware. The spots were clearly marked for Hyatt House so there is no confusion. We got a studio room which was similar to a small apartment. Room was very clean and comfy and the beds were comfortable. Some dishes but no silver ware. Fridge clean and worked well. We had to ask for more towels and linens and staff gladly accommodated. There is some outside noise including train noise so just be aware. Continental breakfast was very acceptable- good choice of food, including yogurt and berries, eggs, sausage, coffee, juices, no complaints here. Overall we would actually stay here again and for the price, really decent place and staff very accommodating."

"We booked a studio, the room is spacious and clean. The hotel is inside the USC health science campus and is very close to Keck hospital. The parking is 38+ tax per night but if you arrive late (past 12am) you can park in the garage directly with $20 flat fee. Another thumb down is the train noise at night. I slept deeply but my wife was waken by the huge noise."
