Hyatt Place Amarillo - West

"We frequently stopover in Amarillo on our way to more interesting destinations. The Hyatt Place on Amarillo’s far west side has become our favorite place to stay. The hotel is pretty new. The rooms are clean and fresh. The only downside we have encountered is that the hotel allows dogs. By “dogs” I’m referring to four-footed, K-9 Americans, not to homely women. Don’t get me wrong, I love K-9 Americans. But I am concerned about the the long term effect of their presence on the cleanliness and freshness of the hotel. I assume that many of the other hotels nearby either don’t allow K-9 Americans or charge too much for them to stay at the hotel because this hotel seems to have more than its fair share of K-9 American guests. On the other hand, if you’re traveling with your K-9 American, this Hyatt is definitely the place for you!"

"Traveling out west and stopped here for the night with our three kids under 3. We booked a king with a pullout sofa. The hotel is very clean and feels brand new. He coffee bar was well stocked, organized and clean. The room was way bigger than I expected which was so nice for us. It had plenty of room for a pack n play and kids to play with their toys. The pull out sofa was comfortable and I liked how they provided all the linens and blankets for it already done. The bathroom was also huge with again is nice when you’re corralling three kids. The staff at the front desk have been wonderful and sweet. If you’re traveling with kids and need a really comfortable place to stay I would choose this over amenities for sure!"

"Rooms are very nice, modern with good furnishing. Beds are comfortable and do not have to mess with thermostat - perfect temp. Standard size room, 2Q and sofa bed. No carpet floors (just a rug by sofa). Breakfast is an extra cost - (not much more and convenient for us) it is same type of breakfast you get everywhere else that includes breakfast. We normally do Holiday Inn Express and Home2 which this hotel is on par with except extra for breakfast. The room could have more counter space and better layout inside bathroom (very shallow tub and door cuts right into vanity area)"

"The rooms here are fantastic—spotlessly clean, brand new, and designed with a sleek, modern aesthetic. I especially loved the comfortable couch and the high-end 65-inch WiFi-enabled TV. The lighting also adds a great touch to the ambiance. However, location is not the best to walk to restaurants or walk around."
