"First time here !!!! Loved the experience!! Front desk people!!! (YOUU ROCKKKK) Thank you for the great attitude, atmosphere, hospitality, leadership because you is what represents HYATT I got my room for a Thursday-check out Friday,,, my room was actually specious a small little living room area and my queen size bed a nice closet, small fridge, and a beautiful bathroom… sucks that I wasn’t able to take pictures…… but I definitely will be going back to this hotel. What I also loved about them is that there’s free parking, I didn’t explore much of the lobby area,…… 10/10💯💯💯"

"This review is specifically for James Brown. My wife and I got held over in midway due to the winter storm and we booked some time at the Hyatt to wait for our rebooked flight. James was a Rockstar. He kept us entertained, he was polite, and he did it all basically alone - front desk, chef, bartender, you name it. Hyatt should be so lucky to have a team member like him to take care of their guests. Give that man a raise, or some help for God's sake."

"I have stayed here many times when I travel to Chicago. The rooms are large with sofas and very clean. The staff is very friendly and let me do early check in or late check outs when necessary. They also have a security guard at night. Elevators are fast. Free parking is a big plus."

"Thanks to my heat going out, I decided to spend the night at Hyatt Place. The first room I had was a King with sofa bed. Room was super clean. Only issue is the air conditioning was running and I couldn't get it switched over to heat. (With temps dipping to subzero, this was a problem.) It took about twenty minutes for maintenance to arrive. I was a little upset over the length of time until I was chatting with him. (He was super nice and polite.) It seems he was the only one on call for maintenance for Hyatt Place and two other nearby hotels. I understand it can be hard to hire staff at times, but one maintenance person for three hotels seemed a bit unreasonable to me. In any event, he was unable to restore heat and asked if I would go downstairs to be put in another room. Second room was 2 Queen. Now while the room was a lot quieter, housekeeping could have been a bit better. There was a used wash cloth from a previous guest flung over the curtain rod and some of the surfaces you could tell weren't wiped down as it look like spilled drink. Overall, nothing that ruined my stay. The sofa seating area needs better cushions. There is no support whatsoever, so it's hard to get up once you sit down. Bed was meh. Not much support and could easily be replaced. Biggest issue was in the morning. Both rooms stated Blackout curtains. While the photo provided is from the second room, it does mirror the first. As you can see, no curtains and this is with the shade down. Other posts I've read mentioned the elevators. They can be quirky. Depending on the time of day, they were very slow. A lot of guests were getting upset when they got on the elevator because they would push the button for their floor and it wouldn't go. Maybe if they would have read the sign next to the buttons, you had to put your keycard on the pad for 2 seconds so you could access your floor. (Reading is fundamental.) Front desk staff were nice, friendly and polite. I have stayed at a few of the other hotels in the area and if given a choice Hyatt Place would be my first one."
