We ended up staying at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This was based on a recommendation from my sister-in-law who had a colleague running the show at the hotel. The experience was awesome. The staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were really nice and comfortable. The hotel facilities were top-notch - with, again, helpful and accommodating service providers. And, there was easy access to public transportation. My friends and I had a wonderful trip and would wholeheartedly recommend the Hyatt Regency McCormick place to all visitors to Chicago."

I really enjoyed talking with him and he was so thoughtful and helpful. The doorman helped us figure out how to get our bags up and where to park. The room was nice and clean and had a view of the lake. We felt very safe in the hotel and the area around it. The parking garage was gated and well lit. It was nice not to have to worry about our car overnight. I am so glad we found this hotel and can't wait to Chicago and hopefully stay longer next time."

What I didn't like: - slow internet (hard to pass 10Mbps) - pool "unexpectedly" closed - plate-loaded gym machines are worn and don't feel smooth The internet is worse than what I get from 2 star hotels and AirBnB's in African countries. This is unacceptable."
