"I drove from the eastern seaboard to Albuquerque on Christmas Day 2022 and the day after. I finally tired out in Elk City, OK along the way. My most important criteria in picking a motel in the area was that there be no steps up from the parking lot to the floor of my room, nor long walks down hallways to access the room, and for that, this was the perfect motel. A-Plus for physical accessibility. It was just a handful of steps from my parking space to the door of my room with no steps up. The manager and the handyman were very helpful, especially when one of my car's windows drooped down and refused to go back up. The motel is old, probably dating from before Interstate 40 came through, and back when Route 66 was the main route west. It kind of looks like a time capsule. I found that interesting, but many may not. My room did have a flatscreen TV, but I did not use it, nor any of the other amenities apart from the mini-fridge, which worked fine. I was there to sleep deeply for one long night, which I was able to do, and then continue driving west the next day. It was very cold out, but I was able to set the room's heater appropriately. I didn't see any bugs in the room, nor drug dealers while I was unloading my car, and then loading it up again the next day."

"I'm really satisfied with my room. The layout is accommodating for guest seating, the staff is helpful and eager to please. The owner Saleem is very nice guy and definitely the most approachable hotel owner/manager I've ever encountered."

"My husband and I have been here for going on 3 years now. We haven't had any problems with our room. The rates are good, we have a kitchenette so we're able to store and cook food. YOU can have pets. There is also a laundry room there . Just about everything is within walking distance from the motel ( hospital, grocery store, convenience store, the park and places to eat. ) We haven't had any issues with roaches, bed bugs or anything like that. The owner is always friendly and polite."
