"The vibe at the bar and hangout space was IMMACULATE! I love that we all got a welcome drink token to use when we arrived. I spent my 30th birthday in Chicago with some friends and I'm so glad this is the hotel we chose because it was the perfect hang space between our adventures of the day and within easy walking distance to many activities! The rooms were clean and I appreciated how intentional the space was to accommodate the smaller size. 10/10 will recommend this place to friends traveling to Chicago!"

"The staff here are some of the nicest most accommodating people we have met. They went above and beyond to make our stay over the holiday weekend amazing with my teenage kids. We have stayed here many times and plan on returning next time we come to Chicago! The location is great if you want to be downtown, the rooms are on the smaller side but have everything you need and are very clean. The lobby is fun and the price is great! Highly recommend."

"I am giving this a 5 star review because I could never throw a business under the bus, but I think it’s very important to know the following before booking a room here. I will start with the “bad” aspects: -check into the hotel as early as possible, especially if it’s a weekend. Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights make it extraordinarily difficult to navigate through the crowds of people in the lobby and there is no easy route to the elevators when the bar is crowded. Yes, you know the kind of hotel you’re booking, but they should 100% have an easier way of getting from A to B. -the bed was wildly uncomfortable. Even if you aren’t anticipating the best bed you’ve ever slept on, it’s less than ideal. Also, it seemed very small for a “queen,” and the comforter was like a rug. -the room has ZERO amenities. Despite being a boutique style hotel, we expected a little more. No mini fridge, no microwave, 1 roll of toilet paper, not enough towels, no coffee/water, etc. You are just getting a room. Which is fine, but at the rates you’re paying, you want some of the basics. Here is the GOOD: -the location is as close to perfect as you can be. Right in the downtown area, but away from most of the chaos -the staff at both the desk and bar are extremely helpful and friendly. Every employee we dealt with was awesome. The bartenders were especially top notch. -the lobby, when not packed full, is super cool. Games, records, bar, restaurant, etc. Overall, the good and bad are pretty even. With that being said, as long as you go in with the expectation that you’re not going to be staying in the nicest hotel of all time, this is a solid spot."

"I had a great stay at the Moxy in downtown Chicago! The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the hotel itself has such a fun, energetic vibe. At night, there’s a DJ spinning music which really adds to the lively atmosphere. The lobby has a taco joint and bar that’s perfect for grabbing food or drinks without even leaving the hotel, plus there are games to play if you just want to hang out. The amenities are excellent too—there’s a gym for workouts, an office/work area if you need to get things done, and luggage storage which came in super handy. The location couldn’t be better—it’s only a short walk to the Riverwalk and close to so many great spots in the city. Overall, it’s the perfect mix of clean, modern, and fun. Highly recommend staying here if you want both comfort and a cool experience in Chicago!"

"I'm not one to leave reviews, but I had to after my experience at the Chicago Moxy. I've stayed at other Moxy Hotels before but this one is my favorite. The staff is nice, attentive and accommodating, especially Jared. I had issues with my reservation before and after my stay (my fault, not theirs) and Jared fixed quickly both times and was so kind about it. Even the bartenders and people that worked in the restaurant were really friendly. The perfect customer service. The hotel has a really fun vibe. The lobby isn't cold, quiet, and awkward like normal hotels. We wanted hang out there, order drinks, bomb tacos and play games. The rooms are very nice and CLEAN. It was nice to finally stay at a hotel that had multiple pillows that weren't paper thin. It's close to everything you want to do in Chicago. It's a quick walk to restaurants, bars, the river, the bean and more. If you're looking to have a fun time in Chicago...this is the place to stay!"
