Ohio House Motel

"Great location with convenient parking ($37) and recently updated rooms, would definitely stay here again. My constructive feedback is that it would have been convenient to have some hand soap for the sink, and also without a thermostat in the room and no way to shut the heat off, we had to open a window. Before doing that, I noticed some other people had their windows open and thought it was kind of strange because it's like 12° outside.. but once we figured out what was up it made sense."

"Nice motel!! Office staff was very friendly and the attached deli was a treat too! Well heated which is def appreciated since I happened to visit when the the wind chill was in the negatives lol. Only downside is the shower took a while to heat up but that was probably due to the freezing temps."

"Be warned, there is no pool despite the picture that is currently posted to someone's review. However, this spot is a reliable motel with clean linens. My room did not have a thermostat. I didn't ask. Apparently it's controlled centrally and it got pretty cold during the first day I was there. I'm guessing that if I had gone and asked it might have you know gotten approved or whatever. Two thumbs up though of what you need like me is a clean bed and clean linens and a door that locks!"

"I stayed at the Ohio House for one night with my son during a short weekend stay. The location was super convenient and parking was a major perk, especially considering it was considerably cheaper than all other downtown hotels with paid parking available. The room was on the small side, but exactly as pictured and honestly what I expected. Everything was clean and the staff I came in contact with were friendly. The noise was the biggest downside, and I don't just mean street noise. I expected a level of noise from the street being on the main floor and basically feet from a busy downtown street, but noise from the hallway was awful. The doors might as well be paper thin for as loudly as sound passed through them. Everytime someone entered or exited the building it would wake me up. I even tried playing calming music through the night to help override hallway noise, but that only worked until 2am when a group of people came in and were having a full on drunken conversation for almost 5 minutes in the hallway. I could've called the front desk, yes, but who knows how temporarily that would've amended the issue as there were other people still in and out all night waking me up. Overall I would stay here again for the convenience and price compared to other options in the area, but I would take earplugs for sleeping next time."
