Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown/River North

"We had a 3-night stay with our family of four and really enjoyed our experience. We had a bedroom suite which was great with our 2 and 4 year old so we could stay up and let them sleep. We didn't realize we had a full kitchen with pots/pans and a small stovetop, which we would have utilized for quick meals with the kids to avoid pricey Chicago food. The hotel provided a pack and play for our 2 year old which was very convenient. We paid $60/night through the hotel for the attached parking garage which was so worth it and really made our stay so much nicer. This included in/out service, and the garage was able to recognize our license plate so we did not need to scan anything as we came and went. With needing to drive around with car seats for our kids this was such a game changer. Also, the garage is connected to the hotel lobby on the second floor so it was really easy getting to the car. We utilized the EV chargers in the garage as well which was very convenient. We were able to leave with 100% charge in the morning for our drive home. A Note on Views: If having a good view is important to you, be mindful of your booking. We were on a lower floor facing the parking structure. It didn't bother us for this trip, but it's worth requesting a higher floor or specific room type if a view is a priority. We only interacted with the staff on check in but they were very professional and courteous. We have no complaints!"

"I had the pleasure of staying here this past weekend for my birthday and my stay was absolutely amazing. Started with Caroline at check in just so nice and cool and accommodated me with no problems. Then everything was nice and clean and the room was spacious and nice and comfortable. I also have to shout out Jaleeya who was also very sweet and accommodating and also gave me a nice birthday bag with a card that was signed by her and the other wonderful workers Ben, Jenny, and Emily as well. The food at the bar was good and the free breakfast was delicious and it's close to a lot of restaurants and the riverwalk. My birthday weekend and stay was Excellent and I will definitely be back!"

"Location for this hotel is fantastic! Right in the heart of River North, about a 10 minute walk to the loop if you are in town for work. Close to public transit as well. Service team was always polite and helpful. Only had a few issues while trying to do laundry. We stayed for about 2 weeks so needed to do laundry a few times, and the laundry machines really just need to be updated, they are quite old and we ran into an issue where we had to run our clothes through the dryer almost 4 cycles to get them dry. The service team did accommodate us and made sure we only had to pay for one load, however that required going down from the 27th floor to the lobby, waiting in line, and going back up with the maintenance team multiple times. Outside of that, it was a very pleasant experience!"
