Residence Inn by Marriott Joplin

"Easy to find, lots of parking in the back. Damaris was so kind and sweet and answered a lot of questions as well as the evening lady I just didn’t get her name but wanted to recognize her kindness as well. We stayed in the suite 407 and it was lovely. I loved loved loved it, the fireplace was wonderful. Plenty of space for my kids. The beds were comfy, the showers were nice pressure and it plenty hot water for my family of 5 to get cleaned up. I loved the functioning kitchen. Breakfast was good I just wish you had the waffle maker where we can make our own so it’s nice and hot. Wasn’t a fan of the cold waffles. Everything else was good I would suggest maybe having a bigger section for the biscuits because they were running out fast. The fresh milk and cold brew was a nice option. We are incredibly happy and definitely will be staying here again."

"Nice hotel, middle price range 125 night. Staff is quick and efficient for check in and out. Location is excellent near highways. Some road noise but not too bad. Never opened the windows but or room had a large patio door to look out of. Cleaning team did a great job but we didn't like the smell of the cleaning product that lingered in the room."

"I travel a good bit for work and always make sure to stay within the Marriott family of hotels. Overall, I would say that the hotel was clean but felt like the decor / furnishings were a little dated. The reason I gave 4 of 5, and almost gave 3 were the 2 surprise charges that ended up on my bill and I’m sure are on everyone else’s, too 1. I was charged $3 for parking at the hotel and not sure why. If you park directly out front of the hotel, you are parking in what looks like is Cheddar’s (restaurant) parking lot. If I’m going to be charged anything for parking, it should be gated or exclusive to the hotel, not shared with a restaurant. Seems like an unnecessary charge used just to drive revenue for the hotel. 2. I was charged for the 2 bottles of water in the fridge that were called “mini bar” charges. There was no mini bar. There were only 2 bottles of water in the fridge with nothing else. Most Marriotts do this as a complimentary service. I’ll keep staying at Marriott’s when I travel but have to say that I was a little disappointed on this one."
