"All the reviews were spot on—we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely motel. Cozy, convenient, and reasonably priced. Even in the cold season, the exterior looks great; I can imagine it being even more beautiful in summer with greenery and outdoor coffee or breakfast. Check-in was charming, with a large tree outside, and we were welcomed with hot tea and cookies. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The property has a two-story motel building and an inn-style building, both with convenient parking and are connected. One step outside the main entrance you could enjoy a mountain view towards the end of the road. We stayed in Room #3, which is small but comfortable for two. It’s near the main entrance, so there can be some road noise at busy times, and we heard footsteps from the upper floor early one morning, but overall sleep was good and neighbors were quiet. The room was well equipped with a TV, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, desk and chair, and a small sofa. The bathroom is tiny but cute, and we appreciated the glass bottles of water provided. There’s also a water fountain in the check-in area. Free breakfast is offered in a separate room near reception, with a hot water dispenser and fireplace. The location is convenient. 10–15 minutes to downtown Santa Fe and 5 minutes to the Railyards. EV charging is available as well. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Santa Fe."

"Wonderful little gem, situated btwn Old Town & Railway Yard. The rooms and buildings clean & charming. We couldnt hear neigbors or TVs; AC or ceiling fans kept air fresh. Breakfast was simple (boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt or cottage cheese parfaits, fruit, coffee or tea, breakfast bars). Sweet comfortable place"

"For an old motel trying to make it in expensive Santa Fe, we were impressed. The staff was lovely, the room was outfitted to be cozy and offer a lot of amenities (though it is small). The location is great. There were so many thoughtful considerations. Our AC was quite loud but they provided ear plugs. Our only complaint was the free breakfast was thin in options and the best option, oatmeal, often ran out. Still, we'd be happy to visit again!"

"The staff were very friendly and always offered tips for activities and restaurants. The light continental breakfast was a nice convenience. The room was comfortable as well. There was ample on site parking. We did wish the location was slightly closer to the downtown area but it was still just a 10 minute walk. We would recommend."

"Breakfast sucked. The toilet paper sucked. And there are cameras in “private” patio areas. I stayed in Casita Bonita. I chose the hotel for two reasons; proximity to the train station and the burrito breakfast other guests RAVED about. Like, that’s what I was looking forward to the most- to the point I even mentioned it to Brian, who checked me in. No one bothered to tell me that they changed it to granola bars and yogurt, which gives this “boutique” motel a lot less value to customers looking for an authentic Santa Fe experience. The website didn’t note that the breakfast had changed from previous reviews and instead didn’t list offerings at all. Had I known about that, I wouldn’t have booked. The casita was nice, really nice. I appreciate the gas fireplace, rubber ducky, and sanitized items. It’s obvious that someone genuinely cares about giving guests a comfortable stay. I’m assuming that person isn’t the one who decided to install motion cameras in the patio area, which I tried to avoid as I don’t appreciate feeling watched or spied on while on vacation. It might be because of their “no smoking within 25 feet of entrances” rule. But the cameras record traffic in the street and sidewalks. There is no privacy outside. I’m also assuming that the person who cares about a great experience isn’t the same one who purchased the worst, thinnest, toilet paper they could find. We stay in boutique hotels often and were shocked that they couldn’t spare an extra five dollars for a pack of halfway decent rolls. I even told management I would’ve paid a couple bucks more for it. The place had a lot of rooms booked when I stayed, even during off season. If they would bring back the breakfast, have decent toilet paper, and let their ADULT guests have privacy this place would be a consistent 5 star property. Unfortunately, in my experience, the cost cutting and security paranoia are often indicative of greater problems that should’ve been prioritized without staining the guest experience. All in all, I had a pleasant stay. I wouldn’t have booked had I known about those issues and I wouldn’t book again without knowing they were corrected."
