I did not expect that at all, really good coffee. I also enjoyed the breakfast allthough the TVs at the tables were somewhat irritating. I liked the hotel a lot and the staff I met was always nice and friendly or professional. The location is great with the Millennial Park just around the corner."

It was also very central to everything I wanted to see: the Art Institute, Portillo's, Willis Tower, Lou Malnati's, the bean, and Navy Pier. As for service and stay it was all great! I liked the room and ameninities. I thought the price was great. The front desk explained getting in after hours and helped when one of my keycards wasn't working. Also cannot understate how appreciative I am they gave me water every day. I was walking so much that I got dehydrated and having a few extra bottles was a godsend. Just some things I noticed, not necessarily nits. There was some wear on the furnishings. One of the shower bar caps had popped off. One of the cabinet doors was crooked on it's hinges. There was some rust in a trashcan. The shower handle kinda dangled which made it a little difficult to get the right temp. Overall this was an ideal choice and I would return in a heartbeat."

They sent someone up to fix our room light when we checked in that was flickering instantly and helped when we needed. Its centrally located and a short walk from everything. The rooms are simple but the shower is big and provide two bottles of water. Ive gotten less from other hotels but silversmith has my business from now on. Note the picture is of a skyline not the view from the hotel but trust me when i tell you its central and next to the CTA."

Young white concierge girl was so caring and thoughtful towards me and my mother who arrived early to check in time. She was able to accommodate our needs to stay safe and warm. The valet guy who was also very friendly. We ate at the bar one night and the food was bomb. Our waitress was very nice. Im giving 4stars only because of the location. Im not a city person. The silversmith is at a great location for all night time activities and is situated 10mn even 5mn walking distance from the illusion museum and many restaurants. You will not regret your stay there. I will definitely return and highly recommend."
